8 months old

Little Brookey is 8 months old... She learned to crawl this month.  She went from dragging her legs as if she was going through the mud under barbed wire, to where she moves pretty fast while moving her legs (still dragging her stomach though.)  She is lifting her stomach and stays on her hands and knees but won't go anywhere like that.  She learned to pick up food and feed herself, she waves when people walk by - she's a hit at the mall - or everywhere really.

She also got sick this month, not for the first time, but the first time with a fever.  She got it from Chris and I, we have been sick this past week or so and she finally got it.  She handled it well though and is all better now.  Chris was able to stay home one day last week to take care of Brooke while I was sick, which was so nice.

She had her first Easter which was nice, we went to a big Easter gathering with friends and their families.  Brooklyn didn't hunt for eggs, but looked adorable sitting next to some and loved hitting them together.

7 months old

A little late on this one, we had Chris' mom visit over spring break so I had to play catch up.  Finally got these done yesterday but didn't get a chance to post until today.  Brooklyn has changed so much in the last month and is constantly changing daily.  I could fill her picture with little things she does but they may seem trivial to all of you (She swings side-to-side while laying on her stomach...see? not really the same as seeing it for yourself).  Anyway, she does so many cute and different things, it's hard to keep up.

6 months

It's been a busy month and I am super late, but here are some pictures from the last month!

Christmas at the Holtzem's and Brooklyn is 5 Months old

This year we went to CA for our Christmas with my grandparents a few days before Christmas, which was great.  We had family pictures done at a beautiful ranch in Hemet.  We opened presents with my grandparents and then we caravanned back to our house where we met up with Chris' family.  It was so great to have EVERYONE at our house.  A real Home Alone Christmas.  I think we all enjoyed it.  It was just so fun to have the house full of laughter and conversation. It was especially great to have Brooklyn meet her cousins Zane and Abbie for the first time, it was precious.  It was also so awesome for her to have all of her grandparents there together.  We just had a blast. We went to our church's Christmas Eve service which we were late for and actually had to sit outside the auditorium, and then we went and looked at Christmas lights (in 3 cars), and then had a little sleepover where we fit as many people as we could in the living room.  It took until about 2:30 pm to finish opening presents.  I believe we started at 10:00 am.  We had an amazing Christmas dinner to finish off the day.  Here are lots of pictures of the last month - all out of order...
