Thanksgiving

We had a last minute change of plans for Thanksgiving this year, and ended up having it at our house.  It was nice to cook our own dinner, watch the parade together and decorate the tree.  It was not very fun getting all the ingredients a few days before though!

We decided it was a good time to get some pictures taken of us that weekend.  We wanted to have pictures taken when Brooklyn was one and needed something for the Christmas cards as well.  We were very grateful to have a photographer friend around to do them for us.  Brooklyn decided to stick her tongue out all day instead of smile, but that's fine with us.  We love how they turned out.

I had to include the picture of her in the bath, because this was around the time period where Brooklyn hugged everything.  She would grab something, pull it close, swing back and forth and say,"Awww".  Everything.  As in, a snow globe, nail clippers, shoes, etc.  The picture is of her hugging her washcloth owl.

Halloween

Trying to catch up on posts, it's been busy 'round here.  I've also had problems with my computer and camera but I got it figured out.  Brooklyn has been growing like crazy, and is learning/doing new things all the time!  We carved pumpkins for Halloween and went trick-or-treating as a Star Wars family, of course.  Randi was Padme, Chris was Darth Maul, I was Leia, and Brookie was a Wookie (one of our friends went also but didn't dress up).  It was lots of fun, and she was pooped by the end.  Chris made a storm trooper pumpkin, I made an owl, Randi made a vampire, Taylor made a whale (a tail is cut out in the back), and Brooklyn's was a Mickey Mouse.

Family Disney Trip!

We were fortunate enough to be able to take Brooklyn to Disneyland over fall break!  Some of the family was able to come as well.  It was a great time, and she seemed to like it for the most part.  The first ride we went on was "Pirates of the Caribbean", which she did not like very much.  But everything else she liked.  We knew she really enjoyed a ride if she pointed throughout the whole thing.  She seemed to really love "It's a small world".
We all hurried onto the bus, Chris ended up sitting with the stroller by the door.

Just a random kid who was doing something so gross we had to take a picture.
He probably sucked on that for five minutes.

We saw the Aladdin show twice, since it will soon be replaced.

Feel free to leave a comment, or ask a question!  It's nice to see who is following along.
